This is one of the tunes that I don't think ever regained its form after the mid 70s hiatus. The warp drive versions you mention often have me reaching for the skip button.

This isn't a Brent-era version, but its about as good as post '74 "Eyes" get IMO. The boys take a leisurely 8 minute stroll before getting around to the first verse...

not early 80's, but wonderful. Starts out with a long slow sweet groove with Phil taking a solo before the song starts. The outro goes into a nice jam that winds itself into the only performance of Diga's 'Happiness is Drumming' - good stuff.

I love this one! One of my favorite versions.

The Eyes that occurred on 10/9/82 is a little more laid-back than was usual for that era, that's the kind of thing i'm talking about.
